The survey of telecommunication companies

By: Mathew Petrenko

Do you know that there are exactly 60 seconds in one minute? But newly one of the IDT corporations declared that lots of corporations, which sell calling cards, give only 36 seconds in exchange of 60. Many well-known companies asserted that it can't be any upright rivalry if one of competitors has got unjust advantages before the beginning of a competition. In 2007 IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) began a lawsuit against several corporations-providers of prepaid phone cards attributing false advertisement and misleading commerce operations.

IDT/UTA had asserted that unlike its own calling cards, those of many of their competitors deliver only approximately 60 percent of the minutes of telephone services announced and promoted on voice help heard by consumers in connection with calls performed by using the defendants' cards and advertised by such rivals on th TV, magazines, placard, global network, or another medium. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have obtain a complete settlement of the lawsuit brought by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC against Total Call. Earlier IDT/UTA started enforcement procedure versus the group of accused for three times. Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and related companies, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc are also involved into the assize. That pending suit is still on approval in the federal tribunal in Newark, New Jersey. Lately I saw an article on one of telephone card related blogs where a softswitch manufacturer showed his system. From now on every client will independently determine the size of the minute, not to pay for the time he doesn't use. Furthermore, they mentioned that it is standard on every calling card systems. I couldn't realize that it was true. But now when I saw IDT press releases, I realize that they were credible right.

If you can primitively count, that you can estimate how many units you will get on the balance buying an international phone card. The proportion is 100 units by just $1! But remember to choose the phone card carefully, and make sure that you have the amount of minutes which you pay for. The good news is that the companies noticed above agreed to deliver 100 percent of the minutes prescribed to users. If the corporations, prosecuted by the judicial power, accepted the proposal more quickly, they would have a chance to be excluded from the list of offenders. They should also agree to provide industry best practices and standards which defend customers of pay before hand card services and that establish a level playing field for all companies that , and supply telecommunications services for, pay beforehand cards. The methods, that can precisely control all the actions related to the prepaid cards, will be designed by that companies. Most of corporations came to terms that every of them will do its best to solve that problem as soon as possible.
