The Cost. Of course, price is the first thing that youll look at when shopping around for self storage. But its important to look at more than the price advertised by the storage company. There can be plenty of hidden costs when renting a self storage unit, so be sure to look at the paperwork carefully. Might you be expected to pay extra for any insurance, or to use trolleys and pallet trucks? Will you have to pay a deposit or up-front payment? So if youre storing nice furniture, electronics, antiques, etc., you may want to shell out for a climate controlled self storage unit.
