San Marco Bracelets Gratify Age’s Demand

Where did the name 'bracelet' come from? What is its relation to the San Marco Bracelets of the future ages? It has come to the knowledge from the historical records that the Sumerians who lived in Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq) around 2500 B.C.E. were the first users of bracelets. In those ages the jewelry of all kinds were regarded as the greatest treasures of a person. Even bracelets of several kinds, in conjunction with other forms of jewelries were found in the royal tombs in the ancient city of Ur in Mesopotamia. It was customary for jewelry to be buried with their owners, along with their servants. Servants probably prayed to their ancient gods for a long life for their masters because of this. From that time to the modern age the legacy of bracelets made of gold has been continuing unabated, and has led to the mergence of new kinds of bracelets, a prominent of which are the San Marco Bracelets. To other schools of thought and to the consideration of several internationally acclaimed historians and archaeologists the charm bracelet was supposed to have originated in ancient Egypt and it was during the age of the pharaohs. Charms made of precious metals and gemstones would be worn on these bracelets to ward off evil spirits. These were known as lucky charms long before the breakfast cereal came into existence. In the ancient Greece, it was a common custom for both men and soldiers to wear bands of leather on their forearms for protection, which were at several times, were found to be decorated with precious metals and gemstones. They were known as Bracels, derived from the Latin word Brachium, which meant 'arm'. Ladies were not about to be outdone by men, and so they adopted the 'fashion' and wore smaller versions of them, called little bracels, or bracel-ets. In this respect, though the San Marco Bracelets happen to be exclusive brands in the present age, if the bracelets are found to be made of copper, are thought by some to aid in relieving the pain of arthritis. What can be the popular reason behind this conviction? In general, a human body absorbs copper, and for that reason the pain somehow gets relieved. Well, there is no such prove behind this but there is a popular tradition to wear copper bracelets, for fashion if not for pain relief. Thus different from the other forms of jewelry the bracelets they have always been in vogue throughout the recorded history, and being worn by men and women in a similar way, since the concept of unisex jewelry is older than people think. This constant demand has given rise to several new designs, like the San Marco Bracelets.
