It seems that pearl pendants are more popular than pearl strands. This might be because pearl strands look too simple or boring in a lot of young women’s eyes. They more prefer pearl pendants, which are more stylish and can be worn at most of time.
I love pearl pendants, especially the pearl solitaires. When there is only one pearl in a necklace, it becomes the focus that attracts all the attention, even it might not be an expensive one. Then it is more like a refined essence of nature rather than a gem stone.
My favorite color for pearl pendant is peacock green because it has more personality than white and not so heavy like black. An 11mm-12mm pearl pendant is of my ideal. Being too big only overwhelm the elegance of pearls themselves; being too small can not effectively bring out their own nature. Medium size pearl pendants are lavish enough to set off your colorful personality.
I would rather select simple pearl pendants than intricate ones. Pearls are favored by the nature. They already have the perfect beauty by themselves. Too much additional detail may appear too flattering unless they suit individual personality. On the other hand, a slight design often adds life to a pearl. Sparkling diamonds make pearls mysterious; heart-shaped bases make pearls romantic; triple-swag drape platinum chains bring captivating grace and fluidity to pearl pendants.
Pearl pendants vary so much in style. I can never get tired of collecting them.
