EBay Auction Formats You've Never Heard Of

EBay Auction Formats You've Never Heard Of
Almost everybody who owns a
personal computer and has an
Internet connection knows what an
eBay auction is.
Most of them have participated in
at least one but those who haven't
are still well aware of eBay
auction.

The usual eBay format and the one
that most everybody uses is where
an item is listed for an auction
on eBay. Bids are accepted over a
period of days. There are,
however, three other types of eBay
auctions.
1.The Live Auction: This auction
is not conducted over several days
but, rather, over a few hours and
the items being auctioned are
usually very expensive and/or very
unique. These are auctions that
are being conducted at auction
houses.
Through eBay, if you have
pre-registered you can place
real-time bids on works of art,
fine jewelry, or rare collectable
items. On December 1 and 2 there
will an auction of Civil War
items, for example. You must be at
your computer to bid on items at
live auctions.
2.Private Auctions: The names of
the people bidding on items at
private auctions are hidden from
everyone except the seller.
These items are auctioned in the
usual eBay auction format except
that only the seller is privy to
the identities of those who are
bidding on items.
Reasons why identities of bidders
would only be available to the
seller is a bit of a mystery.
The only plausible explanations
that I find possible are; that the
items are expensive and the buyers
might not want others to realize
they have the financial
wherewithal to bid on such items,
the buyers might be embarrassed
for others to know they were
bidding on such items, or the
sellers are making it more
difficult for competitors to see
what they are selling their items
for.

3.Restricted Access Auctions: This
was a new one for me. The bidders
must all be over 18 years old and
must have supplied credit card
information to eBay.
Bidders must also agree that they
are voluntarily participating in
the auction.
Thank you,

I had to find a way of earn a living without leaving home. This was a life turning event... Today I enjoy an extraordinary life, earning in excess of $80,000 a month which allows me to endulge on those things I never thought It was possible before - including having my dream home. I was fortunate enough to find the right business to earn a substantial monthly income from the comfort of my own home.
